WHAT YOU WILL DO
If you are looking for an opportunity to own, drive and build a sales program, this opportunity is for you. We are looking for an experienced, driven utility sales leader who is well-connected with North America Electric IOUs. Your role is to engage clients, secure sales and deliver on expected revenue growth. In addition, you will grow and manage the sales team, partner with the executive team on business strategy, strategic alliances, and other initiatives relevant to the commercial success of the Americas region.
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute the sales, marketing and pricing strategies for North American markets and customer segments
Responsible for business development activities, customer engagement, and post-sales customer support and satisfaction
Evaluate and grow the regional team to deliver on objectives
Accountable for meeting customer acquisition, sales, revenue and profit targets
Lead efforts to engage external business and industry experts to inform and influence business strategies as it relates to industry opportunities
In collaboration with product management, responsible for the development and management of proposals to execution, both directly with customers and through third party sales engagements
Manage the day-to-day aspects of customer and sales engagement, including utilization of external third-party providers
Collaborate with software development and product management to provide customer and market facing input on product and solution requirements
Ensure appropriate standards of corporate governance in all of the Company’s activities
WHO YOU ARE
A minimum of 7-10 years of work experience in business development, sales and commercial roles in the Americas. Specific work experience in the utility, infrastructure or enterprise software sales industries required
Existing network of contacts in Tier 1& 2 Electric IOUs
Experience leading commercial/sales negotiations including partnerships, teaming, and other supply/sales agreements is required. Specific experience negotiating enterprise sales agreements is a plus.
Success building sales teams and prior business unit management experience including all aspects of profit and loss and risk management and reporting
History of meeting or exceeding sales and business development targets
Previous work experience with international or multinational companies a plus
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate market, product and customer insights into tactical strategic output that is actionable at a commercial level
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and anticipate the needs of internal stakeholders in a fast paced environment
Self-starter that shows initiative with strong planning and cross functional project management skills to deliver results
Ability to operate with high degree of autonomy and accountability
Experience forecasting and managing budgets or financial metrics frameworks effectively
Solid understanding of strategy and origination processes
Energy/utility and infrastructure industry experience a plus

Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable institution
Master’s Degree in business or engineering a plus
